The March 13, 2015 eNews announced the selection of Lance Finley as the soon-to-be CEO of the CGGC.
Ed did this, mostly, by excerpting Lance's application, sent to the Search/Transition Committee.
Because so few people read the eNews, I am linking to the article. After letting it simmer for a time, I may offer some comments. You are welcome to do so now, on or off the blog, as you wish.

Wow!
ReplyDeleteJust checked my blog stats. Based on the number of hits on this post, I'm guessing that no one does read the eNews (unless, of course, sent to it by me).
BTW, I got one.really important comment off the blog. Here's hoping that it, or something similar to it, is posted here for community view and and consideration.
I wrote to Lance and, among other things, told him that page hits to this blog went bonkers after I posted the link to the excerpts and I offered two observations about that:
ReplyDelete-- People must really have written of the eNews to the extent that virtually no one saw the excerpts before I posted the link.
-- CGGCers must really be interested in what Lance says and that that is a hopeful sign for his "leadership."
To be fair to the eNews, I stopped getting it in my inbox twice and found it among the spam. And, I care passionately about what Ed says. No doubt, others had the same thing happen and didn't go to the bother or even notice or, perhaps, were happy when the eNews failed to show up.
I do hope that people who have given into cynicism or frustration about the CGGC mountaintoppers will give Lance a chance to win them back. And, that, given that chance, he will win them back.
